  1. Wow two great shows from Vegas
Many thanks in sharing these marco 31768
Vegas shows by this period of his life was the norm as his routine was established
The revenues he bought into Vegas by doing the shows were stupendous - Conrad Hilton ( The owner of Hilton hotel franchise ) was so pleased with elvis that he offered him a raise in his salary within six months every year whilst he played there
Only Elvis could attract the audiences like he did

  3. Info about Elvis @Vegas in '73
The days and times that he played at Vegas especially in '73 were strict to timekeeping as he had to do two shows daily as on his contract between the management and Elvis _ however _ he did go overtime at times _ The shows were fast paced and he even covered his schedules doing late night shows across the strip at times at Del Webb's hotel
You got to realise that Elvis was a mega star by now and every one wanted to see him work at Vegas and Tahoe
'73 too was a sad time for him as his divorce with Cilla was finalised
The Aloha show was a triumph and in mid '73 he started to gain weight etc
In fact he went back to the medication he took straight after the Aloha show on January 14th '73 it was stated
After that show he was on the balcony of the Hawaiian Hotel with a towel round his neck with sweat pouring out of his neck due to the medication he was under
So you see why '73 was a tight schedule being a showman / entertainer like Elvis was

  4. I meant that he had to do two shows for the aloha setup just incase the TV broadcast which was live had a fault with the signal from the satellite as it was the first time a concert if this magnitude took place
    Enjoy the info
    Thanks
